Answers to what parents (and testers!) ask us most.
Getting started
What is PlayMap?
PlayMap helps parents in South Florida discover kid-friendly hidden gems — indoor playspaces, parks, animal experiences, splash pads, kid-friendly cafés, and more. We focus on the spots that locals love but aren't easy to find on Google.
Is PlayMap free?
Yes! PlayMap is completely free right now — we're focused on making it as helpful as possible for parents. If we ever introduce paid features down the road, we'll give you plenty of heads-up first.
Do I need to download it from the App Store?
Nope — PlayMap is a web app, so there’s nothing to download. But you can add it to your Home Screen in about 10 seconds so it opens like a real app. See the “Add to Home Screen” card on your Account tab for step-by-step instructions.
How does the location work?
PlayMap uses your location to show you the closest spots first. You can change your location any time by tapping the location pin near the top of the Map or List view. If you'd rather not share your location, you can type a city or ZIP instead — nothing is stored server-side.
Using PlayMap
How do I save a spot?
Tap the heart icon on any spot card or spot page. All your saved spots live in the Saved tab in the bottom navigation.
Can I organize my saved spots into folders?
Yes! In the Saved tab, tap "New folder" to create groups like "Rainy day," "Grandparents visiting," "Toddler-friendly," etc. Each spot can live in as many folders as you want.
What does Hidden Gem mean?
Hidden Gem is our tag for the spots most parents don't know about — the tucked-away play museum, the free splash pad behind the library, the coffee shop with a whole kid corner. If we tag it Hidden Gem, we mean it.
What is a Sam & J.R.'s Pick?
Sam and J.R. (that's us, plus our son) personally test tons of spots. Sam & J.R.'s Pick means it's genuinely one of our favorites — the spots we'd actually take our kid on a Saturday morning.

How do I add a spot you're missing?
Tap the + button in the middle of the bottom navigation. Add a name, address, categories, what makes it special, and a photo if you have one. We review submissions within 48 hours before they go live.
The info on a spot is wrong — how do I flag it?
On any spot page, scroll to the bottom and tap "Something not right? Suggest an edit." Tell us what's off — closed permanently, wrong hours, missing detail, whatever — and we'll fix it.
Can I add my own photos to a spot?
Yes! On any spot page, scroll to the photo gallery and tap the "+ Add photo" chip. Quick guidelines: focus on the space (not the people), think twice about kids' faces (even your own — backs of heads or distance shots are safest), and never upload photos of someone else's child. We review every photo before it appears publicly.
How do I share feedback or report a bug?
Tap the little "Feedback" button in the bottom-right corner of any page. Bug reports, suggestions, spots we're missing — we read every single one.
For businesses
I own or manage a business on PlayMap — can I claim it?
Yes! On your listing, tap "Claim this business" in the banner near the top. Fill in your info and we'll verify + get you set up. Once claimed, we'll work with you on keeping your listing accurate.
Can I list my business on PlayMap?
We’d love to hear from you. Email hello@playmapco.com and we’ll walk you through it.
Privacy & data
What data do you collect?
The minimum to make the app work: your email, name, ZIP, saved spots, and app usage (which spots you view, save, love). We don’t sell your data. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my account?
Head to Account → Settings → Delete account. Or email hello@playmapco.com and we’ll wipe you from our system within 48 hours.
Still need help?
Email hello@playmapco.com — we’ll get back within a day or two.
