Welcome to PlayMap! These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) cover your use of the PlayMap app and website (together, the “Service”), run by [BUSINESS NAME] (“PlayMap,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use PlayMap.

1. Who can use PlayMap

You must be at least 18 to create an account. PlayMap is made for parents and caregivers to find places and activities for their kids, but accounts belong to adults only. Please don’t create an account for a child.

2. Your account

Give us accurate information and keep your login private. You’re responsible for what happens on your account. One account per person, please. Making extra accounts (for example, to earn more points or prizes) isn’t allowed. You can delete your account anytime in the app under You → Settings.

3. What you share

You can add reviews, photos, insider tips, spot suggestions, edit suggestions, events, and feedback (“Your Content”). You keep ownership of Your Content. By sharing it, you give PlayMap a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, show, edit for length or clarity, and share it in the Service and in PlayMap’s own promotion (like our newsletter or social media). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where it has already been shared or where we need to keep it for legal reasons.

Please don’t share anything that is illegal, false or misleading, abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexual, violent, spam or advertising, someone else’s private information, or something you don’t have the right to share.

Photos: Don’t share photos showing other people’s children in a way that identifies them unless you have their parent’s permission. No nudity, violence, or unsafe conditions. We remove hidden location data from photos before they’re uploaded. If you’re in a photo someone else shared and want it taken down, email hello@playmapco.com and we’ll remove it within 24 hours.

Reviews should be based on a real visit and your honest opinion. Business owners and their staff can’t review their own business.

Events you add should be real, family-friendly, and open to the public (or clearly say if they aren’t). You’re responsible for the details being right, and you can edit your events after you add them.

Moderation: We review photos, tips, events, and new spots before other people see them. We may decline, edit, or remove any content, and we may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. You can report content with the flag icon and block other users in Settings. We review reports within 24 hours.

4. Points, rewards & prizes

You can earn Play Points for things like saving spots, sharing approved tips and photos, adding events, checking in at participating businesses, and inviting friends. The current list is in the app under Rewards.

• Points aren’t money. They have no cash value and can’t be sold, traded, transferred, or combined between accounts.
• Monthly prizes (like a free coffee) are limited, first come, first served, and while supplies last. Each prize can be claimed once per person.
• To claim a prize you need a confirmed email address and an account that’s at least 7 days old. Some prizes are shown in the app and can be used only once. After you tap “Use It,” it can’t be shown again.
• No purchase is necessary. PlayMap is free, and you never need to buy anything to earn points or win a prize.
• Prizes are provided by PlayMap. Unless we say otherwise, the brands of any gift cards or products we give away aren’t sponsors of PlayMap and aren’t involved with our rewards program.
• Play fair. Points or prizes earned through fake accounts, fake check-ins, fake referrals, or any other gaming of the system may be removed, and the account may be closed.
• We may change how points are earned, change prizes, or end the rewards program at any time. Points don’t expire, but monthly totals reset each month.

5. Inviting friends

Each account gets an invite code. When a friend signs up with your code, she gets a small point bonus, and you get your bonus once she starts using PlayMap. Only invite people you know who’d want the invite. Don’t post your code on coupon sites or send it as spam. Using your own code, or trading codes back and forth with someone, doesn’t count.

6. Check-ins at businesses

Some businesses have a PlayMap check-in code. When you check in, that business can see your first name and when you visited. It can’t see your email or other account details. Check-ins are limited per day.

7. Businesses on PlayMap

Businesses can claim their listing, update their information, and use a check-in scanner. If you claim a business, you confirm you’re allowed to act for it. Any paid plan will have its price and terms shown before you pay. Business owners are responsible for their listing being accurate.

8. Notifications & emails

With your permission, we’ll send push notifications, like when your event is live, when you’ve earned a prize, or when a new storytime is added. You can choose which ones you get in Settings, or turn them off in your phone’s settings. We also send account emails, like confirmation codes and password resets.

9. Information on PlayMap

PlayMap is built with help from our community. Hours, prices, ages, events, and amenities can change, and we can’t promise everything is always correct. Please check important details with the place before you go. That matters most for safety, allergies, accessibility, or special needs. You can help us fix mistakes with “Suggest an Edit.”

10. Safety

PlayMap helps you find places. We don’t own or run them. You’re responsible for supervising your children and deciding whether a place or activity is right and safe for your family. Links to other websites and apps (like maps or booking pages) are provided for convenience; we aren’t responsible for them.

11. Our stuff

The PlayMap name, logo, design, and the content we create (like our descriptions and Sam & J.R.’s Picks) belong to PlayMap. Please don’t copy or scrape the Service, try to break or overload it, or use it for anything illegal.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, PlayMap makes no warranties of any kind, including that the Service will always work, be error-free, or that information in it is accurate or complete.

13. Limit on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, PlayMap and its owners and team won’t be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for anything that happens at a place or event you found on PlayMap. If PlayMap is ever responsible to you, the most we’ll owe is the greater of the amount you paid us in the last 12 months or $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so some of this may not apply to you.

14. If there’s a claim

You agree to cover PlayMap for claims that come from content you shared or from you breaking these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Palm Beach County, Florida, unless the law requires otherwise. Before filing anything, please email us so we can try to sort it out.

15. Ending your use

You can stop using PlayMap and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or end access if someone breaks these Terms or puts others at risk. Sections that should last after that (like 3, 4, and 11–14) will.

16. Changes

We’ll update these Terms as PlayMap grows. If we make a big change, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using PlayMap after that, you accept the new Terms.
